EVE Online is a 2003 MMO space sandbox game developed by CCP Games. It was originally published by Simon & Schuster Interactive, but became independent since 2004. The game was released on May 6th, 2003 for Microsoft Windows, and was later rereleased on January 22nd, 2008 on Steam. It got a physical special edition published by Atari on March 10th, 2009.

Why It Rocks

  1. Rather than being a game entirely focused on having its own lore written by the developers, the lore of the game is player-driven, where many actions of the players cause a huge impact in the game. This made the lore of the game widely fascinating and interesting to dive, as there have been so many interesting and incredible moments, such as the battle of B-R5RB, the infamous Bad Bobby[1], and so on.
  2. Great graphics that continually improve as time goes on, with new expansions, updates, and engine overhauls.
  3. It spawned a franchise with other games, that are equally as good as the game itself, such as Dust 514, EVE Valkyrie and EVE Echoes. Sadly, the two formers just shut down due to low playerbase.

Bad Qualities

  1. Its overly complicated gameplay and menus turned off many players, as they felt overwhelmed by it.
