F.E.A.R 2: Proejct Origin is a 2009 video game developed by Monolith. The game is a sequel to F.E.A.R. - First Encounter Assault Recon. Unlike the previous game, this game was published by Warner Bros. It was released in 2009 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.

Why It Rocks

  1. Absolutely gorgeous graphics that are obviously a step up from the previous game.
  2. While the story in the previous game was pretty good, the story here is a massive improvement, because they put much more emphasis on that. It also might be the best story in the F.E.A.R. series
  3. Horror returns here and much better than ever.
  4. The DLC despite being very short, it's an huge improvement over the base game as the A.I are smarter (although not as smart as the first game) and the level design are better.

Bad Qualities

  1. Because the game puts much more emphasis on horror and story than the previous game and going for a console type of gameplay, there are many step downs from the first game.
    1. The A.I. has been dumbed down and isn't as clever as the first game.
    2. The gameplay also feels more generic and not as great as the first game as it tries so hard to cash in on the COD Craze.
    3. The weapons also feels weaker to use than in the previous game.
  2. Roughly short DLC.
  3. The base game has slightly more linear level design.
