Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted (also commonly known as Five Nights at Freddy's VR or FNaF VR) is the eighth installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. It was released on May 28th, 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and PC. It was also released on May 21, 2020, a week before the game's 1st anniversary. While most of the versions are well-received, the Switch version received lower reviews.

Bad Qualities

  1. The game was not actually made to fully support motion controls, since the game was made as a VR game in mind, and while it did get an update in December 2019, when you could play in flat mode, the regular PS4 and Xbox controllers worked pretty well because they were decently optimized but this port was ruined due to other issues.
    1. Wasted potential: The game could have supported the Nintendo Labo, since said accessory has VR, but they didn't use it.
  2. The graphics were downgraded to fit on Switch's hardware, and as a result looks blurrier. This is unexcusable, as there are Unreal Engine 4 games that run on Switch and look better and are fare more enjoyable to play, especially SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated.
  3. Even with the downgraded graphics, the frame rate is abysmal, and often lags and goes below 20 FPS and almost never reaches a decent frame rate.
  4. The controls are sluggish and hard to control due to the terrible performance, which makes some mini games like the original FNaF games a complete chore.
  5. This port is overall useless for newcomers that aren't familiar with the franchise, because the original 4 FNaF games were already released on Switch in November 2019 and Sister Location getting a port on said platform shortly after this port was released.
