The Joy of Creation: Story Mode is a horror FNaF fan game made by Nikson, who would be also known for its work on Dark Deception. It's the 4th and final installment of The Joy of Creation series. It was released on July 18th, 2017 for Microsoft Windows and it will be released as part of The Joy of Creation: Ignited Collection for consoles and mobiles, with an Office demo being slated to release before the end of 2023[1]. The game received tons of positive reviews from fans of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and is considered one of the best fan games ever.
Story
Gameplay
Unlike a lot of fan games, the game has 5 different "memories" that are "forgotten" but later become "remembered" after completing them. Each "memory" plays differently.

As the final level of the entire game, you play as Scott once again.
Why It Rocks
- Obviously, the most notable thing about the game is that the graphics are absolutely stunning, and the attention to detail is very noticeable. The textures are very high quality.
- Another notable thing is that instead of just being a fan game that copies the original FNaF games' gameplay, the game uses 5 different styles of gameplay, and they're incredibly different.
- The game does a great job explaining you how to complete the nights,
- Horrifying designs of the animatronics that have become iconic in the community. Each character design has an insane attention to detail, and they're incredibly scary.
- Incredibly scary jumpscares, and they're very unpredictable.
- Passable story about Scott Cawthon and his family trying to survive from the demons representing Scott's own creations.
Bad Qualities
- Misleading title: Since the game is called "The Joy of Creation: Story Mode", you would think that it would focus a lot on the story, but that, despite being passable, was not the major highlight of the game, and is instead was focused on the gameplay a lot.
Reception
The Joy of Creation: Story Mode received a massive amount of positive reviews at launch, and was not only considered one of the best Five Nights at Freddy's fan games, but also one of the best fan games of all time.
