Watch Dogs is a 2014 game published by Ubisoft.

At launch, the game received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, but was largely considered disappointing by audiences and gamers, mostly targeting the downgraded graphics, and also critiquing the story, and the game not feeling like a next-gen game at all. However, the game has recently gained a cult following and was later revaluated and is often considered one of the most underrated Ubisoft games.

Good Qualities

  1. Aiden Pearce is an memorable protagonist.
  2. Decent graphics, despite being a downgrade from the E3 2012.

Bad Qualities

  1. The game is the definition of false advertisement, and has become synonymous with Ubisoft in recent times. The game was presented at E3 2012, and was widely praised for its next-gen graphics, and many people hoped it would have the same graphics. However, when it launched, the graphics, despite being decent, were a massive downgrade from said presentation, and most people criticized the game and especially Ubisoft for it.
  2. Another thing why the game was considered disappointing was that many elements in the game, such as physics and logic are either unrealistic or straight up broken. Other elements, such as reflections and AI are terrible, it should be reminded that this game was considered to be a next-gen game. This was so bad that there's an entire compilation mocking the game.
