Behold, the worst Angry Birds game ever.

Angry Birds: Block Quest is a 2024 Android-exclusive puzzle game released by Rovio Entertainment. The game was released as a surprise, as there were no announcements about the game before launch.
Why It's Not a Block Quest
- This is one of the most unoriginal ideas of making an Angry Birds game, and there is no point in making this game, because this game is a generic puzzle game made to cash in on the genre and its games such as the Candy Crush franchise, Homescapes, Royal Match & others.
- Poor advertising: Rovio did nothing to promote this game and never announced the game. This is such a pointless decision.
- The assets and title screen look like they were entirely made with generative AI. This is completely unacceptable, even for an Angry Birds game.
- Copyright infringement: Inside the game files, there's rumoured to be stolen artwork in one of the assets, which is a violation to the original artist's copyright. Rovio could have just made original artwork and could have asked for permission to use the artwork for game assets.
- It's a blatant reskin of Jelly Match, but with Angry Birds slapped around the entire game.
- The entire game looks unfinished. It should be noted that this game is currently being soft-launched.
- Boring gameplay.
- Overall, this could be considered the worst Angry Birds game, overtaking versions 2.0 and up of Angry Birds Go!'s spot.
Redeeming Qualities
- Its mechanics and gameplay are kind of responsive.
- King Pig finally makes an appearance in the game. He has not been in an Angry Birds game for the first time since Angry Birds 2.
Reception
Upon its release, it had received positive reviews, until it was pointed out that the artwork has been declared as AI artwork and stolen assets, it has later gained negative reception. Out of 13 reviews, it holds a 2.1 rating on Google Play.
