Why Splash (Intentionally?) Can't Speak

EDITOR'S NOTES: Many of the problems were carried over from its predecessor. Also, this show was presumably made to be bad as a joke, including all reasons, so please, don't take this show seriously.

  1. To get the dog out of the house: like its predecessor, it's a ripoff to Martha Speaks.
  2. Many of the flaws from the predecessor still exist, as renders of gameplay from Minecraft are being used as product placement throughout the entire series.
  3. The timing of the theme song is very poor & it's text to speech as well. Not to mention, its instrumental is the backing to Jingle Bells, and it should be noted that this show was made during the beginning of Summer.
  4. Every episode feels rushed due to the usage of Kinemaster. Kinemaster is a good way to edit but isn't meant for animation. The creator could have used FlipaClip to animate instead.
  5. The creator cannot handle any criticism and even the smallest amount.
  6. Episodes like Christmas Day, A Happy New Year and Valentines Day are made nowhere near the correct time periods.
  7. Characters are stolen, with the likes of Martha from the show she was from. This is a violation to the copyright of Susan Meddaugh, who created Martha Speaks.
  8. Many of the voice acting is executed poorly. It finally did get a bit responsive (look at QTS#1)
  9. The time cards even take long to end, making this show unwatchable.
  10. The episodes are too short thanks to how redundantly long the theme song and credits are.
  11. Quantity over quality: the show has spawned 3 seasons and 21 episodes in the span of just 5 months.
  12. A few episodes keep reusing the same titles, and Season 3 cranked this up to eleven, because most of the episodes from Season 3 have a trope where the episodes have the title "(Character's) (Problem related to them) Problem". Season 2 Episode 7 "Mercy's Sneeze Problem" first used the trope.
  13. Misleading title: Despite being called Splash Speaks, it doesn't involve Splash teaching viewers the alphabet, unlike the show it ripped off. Instead, it's some gameplay and screenshots from games like Minecraft and Fluvsies with characters slapped around.

Qualities That Speak

  1. At least the voice acting got a bit better and responsive, despite the usage of text to speech.
  2. Because of how badly animated this show is, it can give off the "so bad, it's good" vibe.
