Wacky Races is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The series features 11 different cars racing against each other in various road rallies throughout North America, with all of the drivers hoping to win the title of the "World's Wackiest Racer". The show was inspired by the 1965 comedy The Great Race.

Why It Rocks

  1. Memorable characters such Dick Dastardly, Muttley, Penelope Pitstop, Peter Perfect, and more.
  2. Great animation for late 1960's standards.
  3. Spawned spin-offs such as "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop" and "Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines".
  4. Fun racing adventures they race through.
  5. Dick Dastardly's cheats and never winning afterwards is funny and entertaining to watch.
  6. Even if the other racers don't cheat like Dick Dastardly they are still comparative.
  7. Good soundtrack, especially during the races.
  8. Great theme song in all versions of the show, the Japanese version is completely different than the American version but still catchy and good.
  9. It received various tie-in video games, which we're pretty decent, thiugh some of them are really bad.

Bad Qualities

  1. It was a short-lived series, which lasted 4-5 months with only 17 episodes (two segment).
  2. The 2017 reboot isn't well-recieved.
  3. Some of the video games, such as Chiki Chiki Machine Mou Race (Game Boy) and Mad Motors we're terrible tie-in games, especially the former.
