Wild and Crazy Kids, simply known as WACK, is a game show that aired on Nickelodeon in 2002. It is a revival of the 1990 game show of the same name.
Why It's Not Wild and We're Crazy
- It lacks the charm of the original 1990 version.
- It has an adult host, as opposed to teenagers, which was not a good fit.
- Speaking of that, Mati Moralejo, the host of this version, is horrible.
- Constant team color change from red, blue, orange, green, black, yellow, and purple, which didn't happen in the original version.
- Some of the new games are not compelling.
- It has no slime, pies, or gross moments.
- It seems that Nickelodeon didn't learn from its mistake from its previous game show revival, Double Dare 2000.
- Due to the above reasons, it ultimately killed the Wild and Crazy Kids franchise.
Redeeming Qualities
- It has a good theme song.
- Admittedly, the logo can be pretty creative if you actually do want to see it that way, especially with the orange "Nickelodeon" arrow on the Wild and Crazy Kids logo, and it could be seen as the best thing in the entire show and the logo can even be awesome to look at, and it's all thanks to the logo designers.
Reception
The 2002 version was disliked by many fans of the original, who were criticized by poor gameplay mechanics.
