You’re Fired is the 14th episode of the 1st season of Teen Titans Go!.

Synopsis

Due to a recent mission where a planet had gotten blown up thanks to Beast Boy's behavior causes him to be fired from the Teen Titans and gets replaced by The Wonder Twins. When Beast Boy hears this, he tries to sabotage Jayna in order to get her fired.

Why It Should Get Fired

  1. For starters, Beast Boy is horribly unlikable and out of character throughout the episode. Details will be explain below.
  2. Beast Boy’s behavior at the beginning is out of character and comes off as forced to start the plot.
    • He’s portrayed as being wishy-washy as he can’t decide what animal to transform into in the heat of battle, leaving his team empty-handed and destroying a planet. Beast Boy in previous episodes WAS NOT LIKE THIS.
  3. Plot hole: Since when did the Titans have a Human Resources person/department?
    • She also seems out of place since superhero team DO NOT have HR departments as it’s not a paid job.
  4. The Titans hold additions for the Beast Boy’s replacement and Cyborg acting like a crybaby is understandable but annoying and the Beast Babe bit is disturbing.
  5. The Wonder Twins are picked and the Titans immediately torment Zan because he’s “useless”, they have him answer calls and do hydrotherapy for Cyborg.
  6. Beast Boy plotting to get his spot on the team back makes him unlikable because he messes up Jayna’s transformations.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Zan’s actions are understandable because he’s getting tormented.
  2. At least Beast Boy was able to save Zan.
  3. Good ending: Beast Boy was able to prove himself and go back on the team.
