Birds Like Us (Bosnian: Ptice kao mi; Turkish: Kuşlar Bizim Gibi) is a 2017 animated fantasy adventure film directed by Faruk Šabanović and Amela Ćuhara. The film is an animated free adaptation of the Attar of Nishapur poem, "The Conference of the Birds". It features the Peter Gabriel song "Everybird", which was composed for the film and also appears on the album "Rated PG".

Why It Sucks

  1. Atrocious animation, especially for 2017 standards. Not only does it look unfinished, but it also causes the character's movements look highly unnatural. It looks more like an Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 or even a GameCube cutscene. It even gives Foodfight, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate and even both Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back and the Happily N'Ever After duology runs for their money.
  2. Speaking of the characters, their designs are very scary to look at. Especially Huppu, Kondor, Garvan and especially Tifa.
  3. Bad directions from Faruk Šabanović and Amela Ćuhara.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Just like the first Space Chimps, the cast in the English version is well-crafted. It even features Jeremy Irons (best known as Scar from The Lion King).
  2. At least the soundtrack is nice to hear.
