Gloob (pronounced: Glubi) is a Brazilian pay-TV channel that was launched on June 15, 2012, aimed at children. It belongs to Globo, a Grupo Globo company.

However, between 2018-2022, the channel downhill due for saturating Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Detetives do Prédio Azul and Alvin and the Chipmunks (2015) and removing or screwing non-Miraculous Ladybug, DPA and Alvin series.

Why It's Not Our World

1. In 2018, the channel removed non-Ladybug, Detetives do Prédio Azul and Alvin shows in favor to over-airing the three series, due to both series are very successful in the channel and decided to not renew the rights to continue air them, which disappointed viewers of these shows that were removed by Gloob.
   • Osmar the First Slice of the Loaf even not being well-received, also got removed by the channel, but it was removed due to the accusations against Marcius Melhem (who voiced Osmar) for sexually harassing Dani Calabresa and it never returned as a result of the accusations against Melhem, although the show returned later, this time on Nickelodeon.
     • The worst case of the removal of these series was LoliRock, that unfortunately never got its second season aired in Brazil, disappointing many fans of LoliRock in Brazil who wanted to watch that season in their country.
2. Speaking of DPA, the channel still keeps the show running as a cash cow franchise for them with almost no signal of DPA finally ending for good.
3. They replaced the Brazilian voice actor Clécio Souto, who was the channel's voice-over since the channel's launch in 2012 to other voice-over who replaced him in the 2022 rebrand. While the current channel's voice-over isn't too horrible, is inferior compared to 10 years of Clécio as the voice-over of Gloob.
4. Airs or aired bad/average shows like the current seasons of Detetives do Prédio Azul, Alvin and the Chipmunks (2015), Gigablaster, Megaman: Fully Charged and the third and final season of Odd Squad.
5. The channel reduced Cine Gloob (the channel's movie session), that used to be aired everyday with animated or live-action movies like Globo's Sessão da Tarde (with a difference that airs monday to friday afternoons) to weekends and at the dawn only. Not helping its monday to friday afternoon air slot got replaced with more reruns of Ladybug. Thankfully with the channel's redemption in 2023, the block returned to its monday to friday afternoon air slot.
   • In the topic of Cine Gloob, the session excessively aired a lot the Miraculous World specials, DPA movies and the Valetins movie, A Ratoeira.
6. They made a poor replacement of Clipes Gloob (which aired songs of the shows they aired in its early years) with Playlist Gloob, which airs videoclips of famous musicians and singers and songs of Detetives do Prédio Azul and Miraculous Ladybug.
7. They aired season 5 of Miraculous Ladybug out of order, which made various fans angry and criticized the channel's decision towards the airing of the fifth season.
8. The current slogan and jingle "Juntaê" isn't that memorable unlike the previous one, "É Nosso Mundo", and the plasctine mascot isn't that great either.

Redeeming Qualities

1. They still air great shows.
2. The channel's logo is still good.
3. Clécio Souto did a great voice-over in the channel, given he was the channel's voice-over since its start until 2022, when he got replaced as mentioned before.
4. Fortunately, the channel finally got better again in 2023, ending this decay once and for all.
