"High-Rise Nightmare" is the 67th episode of Season 4 of Oggy and the Cockroaches.
Plot
Bob has built a modern skyscraper and moves in the penthouse. Bob now thinks he can do whatever he wants, and he throws his garbage out the window and Oggy's garden quickly becomes a garbage dump! Oggy decides to declare war against Bob...
Nightmare Qualities
- The main problem with this episode as it is a torture for Oggy and Bob is really unlikable. It is also a rehash of "Life's a Beach."
- The blue alien is really unlikable as he beats up Oggy all because he tried to destroy Bob's apartment.
- Bob is even rude to Oggy's lawn as well as he dumped his garbage on it. That could get Bob arrested.
- It ended Nickelodeon's airing of the show on a mediocre note.
- The cockroaches get really little screentime as they only appear in the beginning and end.
- Bob even tried to destroy Oggy's house when Oggy increased the height of it and Bob uses an anchor to make it fall.
- Although deserving, the people rioting Bob when relaxing can be a bit mean-spirited.
High-Rise Qualities
- Oggy, Joey, Marky, and Dee-Dee are the only likable characters.
- The beginning is okay, until when Oggy wakes up and sees Bob's apartment.
- Some funny moments, such as when Oggy uses a kite to burn Bob's apartment.
- Although short-lived, Bob's apartment is cool.
- The concept on Bob creating an apartment is good, but was poorly executed.
- Despite its flaws, it is still better than the original episode "Life's a Beach" as well as "Oggy Splits Hairs."
- Great ending: Bob gets karma for his bad behavior when the cockroaches annoy everyone and blows up the apartment.
Trivia
- This was the last episode to premiere on Nickelodeon. Afterwards, it was pulled from rotation due to the controversy surrounding (Un)Happy Camper!.
- The control room has the same camera screens and buttons reused from Panic Room.
- This is the second time where Oggy, along with Joey, Marky, and Dee Dee, scares and dissatisfies everyone else in order to save the day. This happened before in Life's a Beach/Oggy's Beach Club,
