"Kreepaway Kamp" is an episode from Season 14 of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Plot

While at Kamp Koral for a reunion, SpongeBob and the gang are stalked by a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows as campers start disappearing one by one.

Why It's Anything But Kreepy

  1. It creates a horror-themed story really well and it was also executed very well, despite taking place around Kamp Koral.
  2. Since it is a TV movie, it is a huge improvement over Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie.
  3. The animation and visuals were really amazing and some best of Season 14, especially as the Ian Vazquez episode (who has many facial expressions spot lights).
  4. Great use of humor when describing what not to do in a horror movie.
  5. There were a lot of great references to past Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years episodes, like "Who's Complaining," "Squisery," and "The Treasure of Kamp Koral."
  6. The fact that they made a memorial of Peter Bennett at the end was really sweet
  7. The Kamp Koral reunion song was good
  8. A lot of characters returning, including Maisey Manes, Stompy, and the kraken
  9. A lot more references like "Regi-Hilled" and "The Treasure of Kamp Koral."
  10. The promos are also really funny and entertaining.
  11. Lots of funny moments, such as the episode's main joke, "Ka Ka," which is really funny.
  12. The soundtrack is still good as usual.
  13. It is faithful to Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years itself.
  14. The ending was very cool since it actually funny when Elwood spent the treasure on the party as Mr. Krabs screams.

Kreepy Qualities

  1. The concept on making a Kamp Koral TV movie in the main series, while not a terrible idea, can be seen as unoriginal and lazy as some people don't like that it took place around Kamp Koral as mentioned in WIABK #1 and the show ended already, why do they need to promote it some more?
    • However, the episode executes that concept greatly.
  2. The poster is really bland and it's looks like a typical episode screenshot background with SpongeBob stock-art slapped onto it, which feels lazy.
  3. The facial expressions can be a bit too scary for younger viewers.
  4. Just like SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout, some scenes can be filler, like Narlene and Nobby's introduction one.

Reception

"Kreepaway Kamp" received mixed-good reviews and a 7.7/10 rating on IMDb.

However, despite receiving mixed-positive reviews, some people do not like that the episode takes place in Kamp Koral and is hated by many SpongeBoomers like Awe, who posted a review on YouTube about the special being garbage.

Trivia
