Les Studios Tex
An actual animation studio named after a bad cartoon.
Founded: March 1997
Defunct: 2004
Parent: DiC Entertainment

Les Studios Tex S.A.R.L. was a French subsidiary of DiC Entertainment. Not much is known about the company itself, but they were likely founded in 1997 (around the time The Wacky World of Tex Avery was being created) and closed in 2004, around the time when Sabrina's Secret Life was finished.

Shows produced by Les Studios Tex

  1. The Wacky World of Tex Avery
  2. Sonic Underground
  3. Archie's Weird Mysteries
  4. Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century (animation services only)
  5. Stargate Infinity
  6. Sabrina's Secret Life

Why They and Most of Their Shows Go "Ouch!"

  1. Very sub-par and cheap-looking animation. It doesn't help that their shows are made on a very low budget or the fact that some of them re outsourced to other animation studios.
  2. The character designs in their shows can range from subpar at best, to ugly at worst.
  3. All of their shows suffer from a poor grasp on the source materials they adapt, with The Wacky World of Tex Avery and Stargate Infinity being the worst offenders of this problem.
    • This is because most of their shows include educational features or values to meet an pointless FCC E/I criteria.
  4. None of the shows they produced lasted more than one season, due to the poor reception they received.
  5. Terrible voice acting in the majority of their shows, with some exceptions.
  6. The company's logos are crap and uncreative.
    • The first logo looks lazy and awful. It's just The Wacky World of Tex Avery's title card but with Les Studios Tex instead of the show's name on it.
    • The second logo from Archie's Weird Mysteries looks even uglier and hardly, if ever, looks like the character Tex from The Wacky World of Tex Avery.
    • The third and final logo from Sabrina's Secret Life looks extremely dull and boring, since it's just only the three initials of the studio, LST, and the studio's name in silver in a black background.
  7. The studio's name is an insult to Tex Avery's work, much like the show it was named after.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The shows they produced still have the DIC Entertainment feel to them.
  2. Archie's Weird Mysteries & Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century are the only decent shows, and thus is the only two good shows made by the company.
