Mega Man 10, known as Rockman 10 in Japan, is a platform game created by Capcom and Inti Creates.

It is known as the eleventh installment in the classic Mega Man series, after Mega Man 9. It was originally released on WiiWare on March 1, 2010, PlayStation Network on March 11, and Xbox Live Arcade on March 31. The game was later rereleased as part of the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2017.

Plot

A new virus called Roboenza is spreading around the world, infecting robots and disabling them, with Mega Man's sister Roll being one of the infected victims. Some months later, infected robots start attacking the city and the world, and a cure was not found for Roboenza. Dr. Wily was making a medicine machine to cure the virus, but he claims that some Roboenza-infected robots have stolen the parts for it. With help from Proto Man, Mega Man sets out to destroy the 8 Robot Masters and find a cure for Roboenza before it's too late.

Why It Rocks

  1. Once again, the graphics are done in an 8-bit style, looking pretty much like the NES Mega Man games.
  2. As usual with Mega Man games, the music is pretty good, including Nitro Man's theme, Solar Man's theme, Strike Man's theme and the Wily Castle themes.
  3. Much like Mega Man 9, the game has a good story.
  4. Proto Man returns as a playable character from the start of the game, retaining his abilities from Mega Man 9.
  5. Bass is playable via DLC, and has most of the same abilities that he had in Mega Man & Bass.
  6. W-Tanks return to the franchise after being missing from the two games, unlike the E-Tanks and the M-Tanks.
  7. Like the previous game, Mega Man, Proto Man and Bass can collect bolts in stages and spend them on various items, like the aforementioned E-Tanks, W-Tanks and extra lives.
  8. The Mega Man Killers from the Game Boy games make a return as DLC bosses with their unique Special Stages.
    • And unlike Mega Man 9's Fake Man, you can even obtain their weapons when playing as Mega Man!
  9. Like the international release of Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X games since X5, there's an option to adjust the game's difficulty, from Easy to Hard, the latter of which can give the players a real challenge.
  10. Unlike the previous game, it is finally possible to switch between special weapons again in-game with the shoulder buttons (or A and B buttons in the Wii version) without needing to pause the game.
  11. When playing the game on Easy difficulty, there's an option to save the game in between Wily stages.
  12. Like the previous game, there's an Endless Stage DLC, which will test the player's skills to see how many screens they can pass without dying.
  13. Unlike the previous game, Proto Man has some unique cutscenes that play during the main game. The same also applies to Bass.

Bad Qualities

  1. Some of the weapons can be pretty difficult to use at times, like Sheep Man's weapon, Thunder Wool.
  2. Once again, Mega Man has no sliding or charge shot abilities, which are reserved for his brother, Proto Man.
