Nagged to Ed is an episode from Ed, Edd n Eddy, it is the second episode of the first season and is the second episode of the Ed, Edd n Eddy series overall.

Summery

Lee, May, and Marie Kanker, collectively known as the Kanker Sisters, bring Ed, Edd, and Eddy into their trailer park home. Once there, the Kankers make the Eds feel right at home by letting them wear their fathers' robes and serving them lunch while the Eds watch a video of Fish Bowl 2. The Eds enjoy this hospitality at first, but slowly the sisters reveal that they each have a crush on the three boys and force them to do chores.

Why This Episode is a Nag

  1. To address the elephant in the room, this is the episode were the Kanker sisters, which are three of, if not the most despised characters in the series, debuted.
  2. Speaking of which, the Kankers are INCREDIBLY unlikable characters. After rescuing the Eds, they expected them to love them, but rather than explaining it to them, they flat out make the Eds into their personal slaves.
  3. Not only is this episode notorious for introducing the Kanker sisters, but it's also infamous, for how mean-spirited, and misandrist it is.
  4. This is a very cruel Ed, Edd n Eddy torture episode, similar to, "Tinker Ed", and especially, "If It Smells Like an Ed".
  5. The, "Kanker Burger", that the sisters made, is very disgusting, and unhealthy looking.
  6. Plot Hole: Why don't the sisters just say that they are in love with the Eds?
  7. The episode is a huge bore, as after the Kanker sisters "rescue" the Eds, it's just the latter three hanging out at the sisters' place, and being made into doing chores by them midway, and this is basically the entire episode, until the ending.
  8. The scene halfway through, where the Kanker sisters turn against the Eds, and turn them into slaves, comes out of nowhere and is incredibly cruel. Sure, the Eds were being lazy, and deserved it, but to be fair, they had no idea that the Kankers were in love with them.
  9. Terrible, and utterly creepy ending: Eddy, annoyed with the Kankers, snaps at them, which cause them to be heartbroken, which, at least, gives them some karma, for their cruel treatment, though, after that, the Kankers come by, and said that they have "kids", which are dolls based on the Eds, causing the Eds to freak out and run back to the cul-de-sac, while the sisters just laugh evilly.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The Eds are still likable characters.
  2. There are some funny moments.
  3. As mentioned above in Why This Episode is a Nag #9, Eddy snaps at the Kanker sisters, which gives them some karma, and is at least justified. Too bad it didn't last long.
  4. To be honest, the Eds deserved it, pointed out in Why This Episode is a Nag #8.

Reception

Despite receiving positive reviews, alongside "The Ed-touchables", "Nagged to Ed" has received some points of negative reviews by fans, mainly due to it introducing the Kanker Sisters, and its very mean-spirited tone.
