No Guts, No Glori is the second half of the third episode from the first season of The Loud House.
Plot
Lincoln and his sisters work together to thwart the tyranny they face with their big sister, Lori as their babysitter.
No Glori Qualities
- The Loud Sisters are unlikable in their own ways:
- Lori is the most unlikable in this episode. When her parents put her in charge of her siblings while they're out on their date night, she bosses them in an intimidating and unfair manner. While she does have reasons to boss them around, she also has some for no reason such as not letting Lincoln playing his video games.
- The rest of the siblings are no better as after they take Lori down, they cause a wreck to the entire house, and it almost destroyed the entire house.
- Hypocrisy: Lori told her siblings no phone calls, yet she's literally on her phone calling Bobby. Though this may be because since she's in charge, Lori is exempt from her own rules.
- Some animation errors, such as:
- When Lori puts out the schedule for the evening, instead of saying "Lori's Schedule", it says "Lori's Rules".
- When Lori's siblings are carrying her while she's tied up in the chair, her slip-ons are colored black instead of blue.
- Dubbing error: In the Hungarian dub, when Lana was about to be fishing only to be stopped by Lincoln, he calls her Lola instead of Lana.
- Another dubbing error was that in the Latin American dub, when Lana says "Ma'am, yes ma'am!", Lori glares at her, which didn't make any sense at all.
- Lola was stupid in this episode. When Lincoln tried to get Lori out of her room which was guarded by her, she wouldn't let him through because of the orders he gave her. And when he tried to charge at her, she knocked him out cold with a golf club, which was very mean-spirited of her to do.
- Half-bad ending: When Lynn Sr. goes into his and Rita's bedroom and sees his golf club damaged, both him and Lori look at each other nervously.
- Which reaches a plot-hole: How did Lori know that her father's golf club was damaged, since she was in her room at time it happened?
Glori Qualities
- Lincoln is the only likable Loud because he had a point about Lori's tyranny and he was the only one out of his siblings who didn't cause any damage to the house.
- Lynn Sr. and Rita are also likable characters because they knew very little about how Lori was like when she was put in charge of her siblings and they just wanted to go out on a date together.
- The first few minutes of the episode were okay up until the part where Lori was put in charge.
- Half-good ending: At least the siblings worked together to clean up the mess they made before their parents got home.
- At least Lori let Lincoln play his video games and admitting that "You can't say no to everything", which can come across as a good moral to both kids and parents alike.
- "It's science. You wouldn't understand."
Trivia
- Lexi Janicek, who portrays Lisa in live-action, considers Lisa's line, "It's science. You wouldn't understand." to be one of her favorite lines from the series.
