Power Rangers: Ninja Storm (often abbreviated as "PRNS") is a live-action television series, it is the first intalent of the Power Rangers Disney-Era and the eleventh instalment of the Power Rangers franchise, based on the Super Sentai series Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. It aired on ABC Kids in 2003. It was produced by BVS Entertainment and it was filmed in New Zealand.

Summary

A skateboarder (Shane Clarke), a surfer (Tori Hanson) and a dirt biker (Dustin Brooks), are students of the Wind Ninja Academy, under the tutelage of Sensei Kanoi Watanabe and his son Cam. Over time, they were joined by the Thunder Rangers, Hunter, and Blake, as well as Cam, who gained Green Samurai powers in a trip to the past.

Why It Rocks

  1. This marked the first Power Rangers season to be the start of the Disney Era.
  2. The idea of the Wind Students to become the Wind Power Rangers was a great idea.
  3. Great intro theme song.
  4. The cast for the Rangers is great.
  5. The characters are likeable, such as Shane Clarke/Red Ranger, Tori Hanson/Blue Ranger, Dustin Brooks/Yellow Ranger, Hunter Bradley/Crimson Thunder Ranger, Blake Bladley/Navy Thunder Ranger and Cameron "Cam" Watanabe/Green Samurai Ranger.
  6. Zurgane, Shimazu and Vexacus are awesome villains.
  7. It even had a team-up with the following season, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, as well as for Tori in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive.
  8. It aired concurrently with Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.
  9. Awesome fighting scenes.
  10. The two-part series finale, "Storm Before the Calm" was the perfect finale!
  11. It was starting a trend filming in New Zealand since it's cheaper.

Bad Qualities

  1. It had some bad episodes such "I Love Lothor".
  2. While the rest of the 3 Ninja Storm villains are awesome, Lothor, Marah, Kapri, and Choobo are terribly laughable villains.
  3. Some silly and childish moments.
  4. Some of the monsters in this season can be unlikable.
  5. A CGI guinea pig as the Ninja Storm Rangers's mentor can be a dumb idea for Power Rangers season.
  6. The dialogues can be corny at times.
  7. They are missing out on a potentially awesome team-up with Power Rangers Wild Force since the Power Rangers production moves to New Zealand.
