Power Rangers Wild Force is the American adaptation of Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger, and the 10th season of the Power Rangers franchise also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the franchise as well.

Bad Qualities

1. Despite being an improvement over the Super Sentai season over the show's run it became a major downgrade of the original show.
2. Like its Japanese counterpart it started the infamous trend of celebrating an anniversary via number than a year and like it's Japanese counterpart it fails miserably to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Franchise.
   • Power Rangers came out in 1993, not 1992, therefore this season rather celebrates the 9th anniversary of the franchise instead of the 10th anniversary, furthermore, if they went with via year instead of number Ninja Storm is technically the anniversary season. Thus affected all the infamous anniversary seasons like Power Rangers Operation Overdrive and Power Rangers Super Megaforce.
3. This was basically the Power Rangers version of Zyuden Sentai Kyōryūger since it focuses too much on Cole.
4. It's a rehash and diluted version of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.
5. While catchy, the theme song could be annoying and repetitive.
6. Sometimes the acting could tend to be mediocre while there are times where the actors tend to overreact
7. Cheesy sound effects, that doesn't fit the show at all.
8. It had a handful of cheesy moments that are a bit irritating and cringeworthy.
9. They were very unoriginal and lazy with some elements from the show, such as the morphing sequence it is noticeable that their heads where merely pasted on their Japanese counterpart's bodies, another one is their roll calls, (excluding Taylor, Alyssa and Merrick), come on, it is noticeable that it was just dubbed in English, the Org names were also just dubbed in English and finally to rub some salt on the wound, most of the dialogue is recycled from the Japanese show.
10. It had some really bad episodes, like the 6th, 18th and 29th episode.
11. Some of the main Rangers are kinda uninteresting on their own ways.
    • Cole Evans/Red Wild Force Ranger is a perfect example of a Gary Stu a perfect character with little to no flaws whatsoever, being generally overpowered, a strong-willed leader, and what's worse is he barely experiences drawback in unmorphed battles or whether he's in his transformed state.
    • Taylor Earhardt/Yellow Wild Force Ranger, Her arrogant nature could be a bit irritating at times, and when things don't usually go her way she tends to act like a spoiled brat.
    • Max Cooper/Blue Wild Force Ranger fails miserably as the team's comic relief, making uninteresting and cringe-worthy jokes.
12. Princess Shayla is a very useless and immature mentor, and what does she do throughout the show's run basically nothing other than sing with her annoying voice and her fight scene with toxica was really underwhelming.
13. The villains are way too lighthearted (barring Master Org) and some of them are really boring. (like Toxica, Jindrax and etc.)
14. The Animus Arc is feels so out of sync towards the show, as it never felt like a proper arc and was just filled with filler episodes.
15. Speaking of Animus, He was nothing but an unreasonable jerk in that arc, rather than deity who is teaching the importance of being warriors, Even in his human persona he was extremely unlikeable, and his way of foreshadowing his real identity is kinda stupid.
16. Unlike Gaoranger, the whole team never got a team-up with Power Rangers Ninja Storm (mainly because the latter took place in an alternate universe) since the Power Rangers and Disney production moves to New Zealand.

Good Qualities

1. It's not as bad as Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive and the infamous Neo-Saban Era seasons (excluding Dino Charge).
2. There are still some likable characters like Danny Delgado (Despite being mostly left out), Alyssa Enrilé, Merrick Baliton and Master Org.
3. Despite being a terrible season, Power Rangers Megaforce thankfully fixed the anniversary issue and affected all anniversary seasons after it. (Super Ninja Steel being 2018 rather than 2017.)
4. Unlike Gaoranger, they actually teamed up with Power Rangers Time Force.
5. Without this season, we wouldn't have the famous "Forever Red" episode.
6. Overall, the next season Power Rangers Ninja Storm, a massive improvement.
7. Compared to the Super Sentai series it was based on, it was a bit of an improvement.
8. Very successful toy sales.
9. It's one of the darkest PR seasons next to In Space, Time Force, and RPM.
10. Master Org is a very intimidating main antagonist to the Wild Force Rangers, hence his interesting backstory and story arc, he also the best villain of the entire Wild Force season.
11. The two-part, "The End of the Power Rangers" was a decent finale.
12. Great character designs, especially for the villains.
13. The Zen-Aku Arc was very well received.

Trivia

• Cole's actor, Ricardo Medina Jr., later played Decker in Power Rangers (Super) Samurai.
• In 2015, Ricardo Medina, Jr. was arrested for fatally stabbing his roommate with a katana. During his hearing on March 17, 2017, Medina pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in court and was sentenced to six years in prison on March 30. As of November 2020, he has since been released from prison.
