Power Rangers Time Force is the ninth season of the Power Rangers franchise based on Mirai Sentai Timeranger, and the third season of the Post-Zordon Era.

Why It Rocks

  1. It's one of the darkest and epic PR seasons.
  2. It recaptures the spirit of the source material.
  3. It's a big improvement over Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, which was a mediocre Power Rangers season from the previous year.
  4. The writers did a good job in making Ransik appear intimidating, malicious, and a result of a society that rejects imperfections, so much so, that he even momentarily defeated all of the Time Force Rangers in the finale.
  5. Wesley Collins and Jen Scott have greatly developed Rangers in this series, to the point where some fans call them the best Red and Pink Ranger in the franchise.
  6. The finale was AMAZING, as Eric finally completes his series spanning development, Ransik realizes what his malice could've done to the one person he truly loved (His daughter, Nadira), and had it not been for the other Rangers coming to assist him, Wes could've DIED in battle saving the world, and the EPIC music plays during the Final battle.
  7. Compared to Mirai Sentai Timeranger's toy sales, it had very successful toy sales.
  8. Wes and Eric, along with the Red Rangers before them, assisted Cole in "Forever Red", an episode in another decent show, Power Rangers Wild Force.
  9. Ransik gained a lot of development when in the end he realized the horrible things he has done after he almost killed Nadira and then surrendered to the Time Force Rangers.
  10. Aside from Ransik, some of the other characters received some proper character development, most notably Wes, as he went from a carefree person who lives a rich life, to a well-meaningful ranger who knows when to take things seriously.
  11. The chemistry between the characters in this series felt real and natural, as opposed to forced and unnatural.
  12. Great soundtrack and a catchy theme song.
  13. Good acting compared to most Power Rangers seasons. Again, the Rangers' chemistry with one another was believable and real.

Bad Qualities

  1. The theme song, while catchy, feels forced compared to Timeranger. It also implies that the Ranger continuously travels through time and fought across different eras, which was the original plan of the series until it was revealed that Timeranger had the Rangers stay in the year 2000.
  2. While it's one of the darkest seasons of the franchise,, it feels a little cheesy sometimes.
  3. The usage of the cartoon sound effects have downgraded but are still pretty grating, like the previous 2 seasons of Power Rangers.
  4. "Nadira's Dream Date" was perhaps the worst episode of the season.
  5. Some unlikable characters like Gluto, Nadira, and Eric Myers (albeit the latter two improved later on).
  6. The Lightspeed Rescue and Time Force team-up wasn't very well-received, especially with Vypra being the antagonist of the crossover.
  7. A video game based on this season was poorly received.

Trivia

  • This was the last Power Rangers season to be completely aired on Fox Kids. It was due to the franchise was being purchased by Disney.
