Power Rangers Megaforce is the 20th anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise. It is based on the Super Sentai series, Tensou Sentai Goseiger.

Why It's A Mega Fail

1. Executive Meddling: According to rumors, Saban Brands originally intended to skip Goseiger in honor of adapting Gokaiger. Unfortunately, due to the former not having bad enough toy sales to be skipped (hence the reason why Go-Busters (though the former would become Beast Morphers 6 years later) and ToQger have been skipped), the company was forced by Toei Inc. (the creator of Sentai ) to combine the two seasons which is probably the most nonsensical choice ever made by Toei!
   • Speaking of which, many Goseiger episodes and monster suits were skipped because of that and Nick's 22 episode limit.
   • Also, the two seasons also have their own separate pages because of what was also stated above.
2. Unlike previous seasons, this season ignores the theme of its' Sentai counterpart (mostly due to censorship). This will be even more obvious in Super Megaforce.
3. The title feels MEGA silly, cringeworthy, and laughable.
   • They use the word Mega a lot (e.i stuff like Mega Blaster, Mega Rangers, mega win, etc.). Not only does it get really annoying, but very boring.
4. Very unfaithful to the original series.
5. Overuse of Sentai footage. Even more so than the two previous seasons.
6. Troy is a copy n' paste of Jason and Rocky from MMPR, except that he is a very emotionless and bland red ranger who is just there and only spoke when one of his team members talked to him. His acting is way worse than Vypra in Lightspeed Rescue.
7. Noah is a copy n' paste version of Billy from MMPR and Ethan from Dino Thunder.
8. Gosei is even worse, as he is just a complete knock-off of Zordon from the aforementioned MMPR series and hardly did anything aside from giving new powers as if they were lottery tickets.
   • What makes him WORSE is the fact that he states that "he only awakens when the Earth is faced with an extraordinary threat.". As if 5 ALIEN INVASIONS, 3 CASES OF DEMONS MERGING WITH US, THE STC GETTING RIPPED OR NEAR OMNICIDE AT THE HANDS OF A FREAKING A.I doesn't count as "extraordinary", then that's just goofy as hell.
9. The villains collective are a complete knock-off of villains from previous seasons (ex. the Warstar insectoids are a knock-off of Scorpius' and Trakeena's army from Lost Galaxy).
10. Not helping BQ#7, the villain names are just laughable and unoriginal. What kind of villain names are Bigs, Bluefur, and The Messenger?!
11. Most of the villains (save for Vrak) are really annoying.
12. Much like Natsumi in Kamen Rider Decade, it is never explained why Troy was having that dream of the past Power Rangers fighting in the Legendary Battle.
13. A ridiculous amount of filler episodes, such as the pre-hiatus episodes and the Warstar arc. At least Samurai had an actual plot!
14. Most of the episodes have rather unfitting titles. For example, one of the episodes is called "The Human Condition", despite being more focused on the battle with Admiral Malkor than the sub-plot with Robo Knight.
15. Many failed attempts at past season tributes, such as Ernie's brain freeze (which looks absoulutely NOTHING like the one from MMPR) and the Harwood County High School (which is underused). The tributes will be even worse in Super Megaforce.
16. This season and Super Megaforce had lesser dark moments and too many light-hearted moments. Even RPM, Time Force and In Space were able to balance dark moments and light moments compare to this and Super Mega.
17. Not helping BQ#10, the final episode, "End Game", was a knock-off of the Power Rangers Turbo finale, "Chase into Space", as both finales are cliffhangers for the next season.
18. Some disturbing scenes such as Beezara's barefoot, Emma's ear piercing (not to mention, also heavily auto-tuned) singing, and No-Joke's Fart Joke.
19. Useless cartoon sound effects.
20. And finally, to rub this salt into the wound, this show aired concurrently with Zyuden Sentai Kyōryūger.

Redeeming Qualities

1. It's not as bad as Super Megaforce.
2. As bad as End Game was, at least its final episode wasn't a Christmas special.
3. The ranger suits and villain designs are passable.
4. There are some likable characters, such as Jake Holling/Black Megaforce Ranger, Emma Goodall/Pink Megaforce Ranger, Gia Moran/Yellow Megaforce Ranger, Robo Knight and the main villan, Vrak.
5. The villain dynamic for this season is a bit different from its source material as all of the villain groups work for Vrak instead of being betrayed by him like it was in the Sentai.
6. Some fans of Power Rangers may enjoy it.
7. The first episode, Mega Mission was decent.
8. Unlike the first two anniversary seasons, it actually celebrated the 20th anniversary in the correct year (Being 2013 rather than 2012) and affecting all anniversary seasons after it. (Super Ninja Steel being 2018 rather than 2017.)
