Second Christmas is the 35th episode of Teen Titans Go!

Plot

After the Titans celebrated Christmas, Starfire announces to them that there is a Second Christmas and she believes that it is real. Robin believes that it really is not real after all.

Bad Qualities

  1. The concept does not make sense in real-life, there is no such thing as Second Christmas since Christmas Day, which is on December 25, is the real event. After December 25, it is December 26, and it has no event whatsoever.
  2. To think, the plot came from the other Titans misunderstanding what Starfire said after the Christmas scene. She said she has to go to Tamaran on the day after Christmas to celebrate a holiday that is essentially their version of Christmas. The Titans think Starfire is saying there’s a second Christmas, thus the “lie” is birthed from it.
  3. The Second Santa, does not resemble a Santa Claus, instead he is depicted as a tall man wearing a green jumpsuit and holding a jetpack that makes him look like he belongs to the 1980s era.
  4. While the opening scene is great, the Christmas feast scene can be a bit disgusting to watch.
  5. Plot Hole: How does Starfire use lots of Christmas lights and ties everywhere in the Titans Tower, again like Toothache from Mr. Bean, there is no excuse of having a longer string-like objects in real-life.
  6. Additionally, Robin reminded everyone that longer lights mean excessive amounts of electric bills, which makes sense, but once it progresses, they do not buy the electric bills at all. This situation was all Starfire's fault in reality.
  7. Starfire punching Robin twice in this episode is mean-spirited.
  8. After Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven confess the truth, Starfire begins to throw snowballs on them, even though they are trying to tell them nicely; which is also mean-spirited and it makes Starfire the real antagonist, not Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven.

Good Qualities

  1. The Second Santa does a tolerable job voicing him, especially as a narrator.
  2. The opening scene is good since the Titans enjoy Christmas by opening their respective gifts, wearing their Ugly Sweaters, playing snowballs, and eating Christmas feast.
  3. Robin is right about Starfire, since he reminded that Second Christmas was not real.
  4. The ending is good as the Titans party in the hospital and Starfire saw that Second Santa is real.

Trivia

  • Even though Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven were the antagonists in this episode, seen in the Fandom of Teen Titans Go!; Starfire was the main antagonist, despite being the lesser extent one.
