Spotted! is the 62nd episode of Taffy
Plot
While Bentley pretends to be sick, he tricks Taffy by putting spots on his body so that he gets a deadly fever.
Why It's Spotted (In a Bad Way)
- This episode rehashes Tom and Jerry's short, Polka-Dot Puss, with both victims (Taffy and Tom) getting polka-dots as fake disease just to make a fool of Bentley and Jerry respectively.
- This is also a rehash of Monkey-Itis from Rocket Monkeys, as the main characters pretend to be sick without any further explanation.
- Bentley is pretending to be sick because he has a fever. And when he uses the thermometer in the heat pack, he gets his worst fever, which makes no sense.
- Taffy is also pretending to be sick like the way Bentley is treated.
- Bentley becomes unlikable when he uses a book to make measles for cats, by using lipstick to put it on Taffy's body.
- The second half is a Taffy torture episode.
- Near the end of this episode, it is revealed that Bentley has spots on his back thinking that the disease is real. Dr. Hurtz and the animal control capture Bentley for having a disease and he will be treated for 6 months with a double dose, which is impossible since his back has red paint.
Redeeming Qualities
- Taffy and Mrs. Muchmore are likable characters in this episode.
- Good Ending: As Bentley will get treated by Dr. Hurtz for 6 months with 2 doses, which is his karma, Taffy becomes back to normal and reunites with Mrs. Muchmore.
