Stinky Butt is the eighth episode of the short-lived TV series, The Ripping Friends. It first aired on Fox Kids on November 17, 2001.

Plot

Citracett is banished to the nether regions of the Earth by the Ripping Friends after attempting to destroy it. There, due to some mystical energy, Citracett gains the ability to control his flatulence with destructive results.

Why It's Stinky

  1. Similar to the Teen Titans Go! episode "Butt Atoms" and the Total DramaRama episode "Total Eclipse of the Fart", this episode is absolutely filled to the brim with gross fart humor, which is one of the lowest forms of comedy and is never a good thing to write about. Heck, even the original Ren & Stimpy series wouldn't go THAT far with fart jokes.
    • In fact, it's the second grossest episode in the series, behind "The Indigestible Wad".
  2. Citing the above, Citracett (the recurring supervillain of the series) gains a new alias, Stinky Butt the Foul, and super farts by... farting out a fairy. And that's it!
    • Speaking of super farts, his superpowers are:
      • Toxic farts
      • Fart-flying
      • A giant fart monster that he farts out in one scene
  3. Plot holes:
    • If Citracett destroyed the world with a doomsday device in the beginning, how did everyone managed to survive on it when they would've died on it?
    • How does eating wieners and beans make you fart out a fairy? We understand that it's because Citracett is under the influence of the sulfur mermaid, but still.
    • The most illogical of them all: How and when do people have fart glands when something like that doesn't exist in real life?
  4. Biological inaccuracy: As stated above, people don't have fart glands.
  5. A few inappropriate moments in this episode:
    • Citracett/Stinky Butt's line "I have many more weapons in my personal ARSEnal" sounds inappropriate as the word "arse" is the British equivalent of the word "ass".
      • Not to mention when he's saying that line, he shakes his butt, which looks like twerking (and that didn't even become a thing until the 2010s).
    • One disturbing scene in which a micro-sized Chunk gets swallowed up by Stinky Butt is considered as cannibalism. At least Chunk isn't chewed up, but still.
  6. Animation errors:
    • Rip, Slab, Chunk, and Jimmy were watching TV, but the TV isn't turned on.
    • In one scene in which Stinky Butt blasted Rip, Slab, Chunk, and Jimmy with a large fart cloud, Slab is shown standing on a ball (which is part of the background) as if it's part of a floor.
    • In another scene, Stinky Butt fart-flies towards and past the Ripping Brothers in one part, but in the other shot, when he's farting out a fart monster, he's in front of them.
  7. The fart sounds throughout the episode come off as disgusting and sometimes annoying.
  8. Jimmy the Idiot Boy serves no other purpose than filler.
  9. Aside from the fart humor, the scene in which Citracett literally spits on himself is rather gross.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. At least the Ripping Brothers managed to defeat Stinky Butt in the end.
  2. A few funny moments such as Jimmy biting of Rip's butt and Stinky Butt's line "My name is STEENKY BUHT!" (with emphasis in how he pronounced his name in that line) when Rip addresses him as Citracett.

Trivia

  • The high-pitched fart sound used in this episode is the same one that was used once in The Ren & Stimpy Show episode, "Son of Stimpy", in the part in which Stimpy farts out Stinky.
    • It should be noted the John Kricfalusi made both of these shows.
