Talk:Seasonal Rot
Important disclaimer
Now before contributing to this wikis there are some stuff that i need to say, what made me come up with the revival of this page is that i wasn't very pleased with the older wiki's version of this page, so i decided to make my own version of it, with better exemples, the older wiki had exemples that are actually too critical such as: most of CN's 2000s shows such as Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls (1998), The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and other shows such as: Rugrats (1991), TMNT (1981 and 2003), American Dad, Wizards of Waverly Place, etc. So i say before contributing do not include these shows as exemples, same goes to ones that are true as it's not very severe and these seasons can be enjoyed such as The Ren and Stimpy Shows and Danny Phantom. That's all for now, Thank you, and god bless :). Robin (talk) 23:02, August 26, 2023 (UTC)
We also dont want to be as critical as the older wiki's so please avoid this from happening, that's all i had to say. Robin (talk) 20:55, August 29, 2023 (UTC)
- 9n other another, while the 2001 revival was actually good, it didn't actually hit the same spot as the original run did and the series already had an great ending in 1999, so this is just a minor case, anyway atleast its not as bad as most seasonal rots of 2010s or 2020s. - Most notably Family Guy Joss5556 (talk) 21:48, July 18, 2024 (UTC)
South Park
While season 21 onwards are okay seasons, still they share the same flaws as season 20 such as Randy Marsh hogging the spotlight and overshadowing the main boys, even his son Stan, and the show is now going the way of The Simpsons and Family Guy. Allan Bao (talk) 15:22, February 8, 2024 (UTC)
Could movie franchises be on here too?
Because movie franchise do go downhill as well and face the same problems when a TV show goes through the same thing, flanderization, executive meddling, downgraded writing, etc. Like with Ice Age for example, the first three movies were well received but when the fourth film came out, people started to notice a decline in quality and only became worse with the last two films. So can we? Batboy234 (talk) 02:02, July 12, 2024 (UTC)
- that's a similar trope called Series Decay ToTheEdge (talk) 02:06, July 12, 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds a bit too redundant to the Sequelitis trope, which has a page. TheMoonandEarth (talk) 02:07, July 12, 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, just checked it, didn't realize the page's existence til now, thanks! Batboy234 (talk) 02:11, July 12, 2024 (UTC)
- yeah but series decay is something i think should have a page if only limited to books (looking at you Wheel of Time and especially you Crossroads of Twilight) ToTheEdge (talk) 02:27, July 12, 2024 (UTC)
