New Announcement

Hello people, right now i am here to announce the pages that might see an revival (albeit on sandbox first), at the same time i will also announce what will be different and pages that wont see a revival, anyway without further ado, here are all the plans i have.

Pages that will not see a revival

Any 2000s Crash and Spyro games: There are some bad games released but for the most part they are good although i cannot say the same about (Crash Bash, the GBA port of Crash of the Titans, the DS port of Crash: Mind Over Mutant and Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly). I am also very mixed about the crossover gba games since i actually like it but at the same time it's just a bunch of minigames, so you all decide if this one should be revived or not.

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: If there is one thing i hate about this movie is the CGI effects, aside from that it is actually good.

That's all for now, there might be more pages i am planning to revive yet didn't announce but until than that's all i gotta say, any question will be answered soon.

Pages that I dont know if it should be revived or not

Robotboy (Season 3-4/Series 2): Now i am very mixed about this one: Robotgirl appears in only one episode and she never goes superactivated, It focus more on humor rather then action instead of both at the same time, The end credits are no longer animated instead it has this dull black background and there isn't much super activation scenes like before. But at the same time, the animation and artstyle has been improved, and there are moments where its actually good, so yeah it is hard to tell if this should be revived or not.

My Gym Partner's a Monkey: I dont know, i just used to watch this as a kid, i didn't think it was that bad.

Crash & Spyro Crossover GBA Games: I actually thought it would be nice to see a crossover between both of my favorite ps1 platformer games, even the villains now switched roles, The villain of Crash is now Ripto and the villain of Spyro is now Cortex. Although all of this sounds interesting, sadly the whole game is nothing but minigames, but at the same time some of the minigames are actually fun to play.

Could you bring back my DreamWorks Dragons: The Nine Realms page? It was copied before the rule was different from the older one, yes. I plan on to make it more polished if it was brought back and to add season 6. That season came out on June 15, 2023. Some minor change of rules

Since i became an admin, i did mention that things will be different, well here are some of the rules that i do think it should be different.

1: Swearing: Now, now, now i am not applying that swearing will actually be allowed, but i do think it shall be less limited. Words like: Shitty, Ass, Asshole, Bitch and Shit should be allowed but other more explicit words like: Fuck, Dick, Anal and Penis will still not be allowed (Unless if it's a quote said by someone like John Mcclaen's famous "Yippe-Kia-Yay Motherfucker" or Richard Marcinko's: "Suck my Balls' my hairy fuckin big balls rub em around your fucking mouth" you name it.

2: Copy-pasted Pages: I am not supporting copy pasting from older wiki's but some of it should be allowed, but only and i mean ONLY if it's done before March 16, 2023 or if the said copy-pasted page is somewhat more different and more polished or if it's on sandbox so there you can have enough time to change it to something better and make it more polished.

Suggestions

Good Morning/Evening/Night or depending how your day is and what country you live on hehehe. This is the topic where you can suggest me which page should be imported (Revival, as i like to call it), or which page should be deleted, undeleted, Revived but with big changes, you get the picture. Or suggest how can this wiki be better such as: what new rule should be applied (i already mentioned that there might be some small changes of rules in my previous topic "Some minor change of rules" so i suggest you all to check that out and let me know what you think about it). Good question, in general it's mostly skateboarding, bmx, wakeboarding, snowboarding and surfing games. Add the 2003-2005 era of Bom Dia & Cia in the wiki's main page Forbidden Pages section

Given recently the page of the 2003-2005 era of Bom Dia & Cia written in a negative view due to the negative reception against the hosts of that era, Jéssica Esteves and Kauê Santin was deleted because of the many good cartoons the block aired in 2003 to 2005 which saved the block for being a disaster and also a big fiasco from Jéssica and Kauê's hosting stint and to a extent, Galvão França's terrible direction in the block in that era, we should add Bom Dia & Cia in its 2003-2005 era in the wiki's main page Forbidden Pages section, in the part of the Negative Perspective/Media pages--MariaJúlia1718 (talk) 21:46, July 28, 2023 (UTC)

Still i can't believe out of all the pages i created were deleted: The Larry Doyle era of Looney Tunes (thought i was planning to do that, because i realized despite it's maximum violence the era was still good, as it has 4 out 3 good shorts) and Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon (this one shouldn't be deleted, i was planning on making it different, and along with Teen Titans Go!, Johnny Test (2005) (Season 4-6) and modern family guy, it's also very bad), Drake of the 99 Dragons this one sucks, i did even make it different by mostly talking about the xbox port of that game since i did played the improved pc version and after finishing it i find myself to think it's actually good, sure it's the same game that still has bad story but i never cared about the story anyway, and it's way better than playing it on Xbox. 1) That's not possible, even if cursing is far less mature, because this wiki runs on ads, meaning that any, and I mean ANY curse word, would cause the adsense to stop.

Nostalgia Opinions

This is no announcement this time bois, except for one: What do you all think of Kamp Koral and Uncle Grandpa, those shows are mixed and i am not sure if it should be on good media or bad media or on forbidden pages, i've seen both and it wasn't that bad, anyway with that out of the way, about the main subject of this discussion.

We all know that the older years: this being the 80s-2000s were amazing and we wish we could travel back in time, well no because a time machine is impossible but yes because we can still live like we are in these years. Anyway i want to ask one thing just for fun sake.

What's your favorite game/tv show/cartoon/movie/band music from these years?

Me: i would say my favorite game from the late 90s is: Half Life 1 and from 2000s is Max Payne series,

TV shows from the 80s: Miami Vice, 90s: The X Files and 2000s: 24

Cartoons from the 80s: Inspector Gadget, 90s: Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls (1998) the reboot from 2016 sucks, 2000s: MLAATR and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (i even played the 2006 game).

Movies from the 80s: Terminator, 90s: Fight Club, 2000s: Cars

and now for band music 80s: Judas Priest, 90s: Nirvana, 2000s: Linkin Park and Nickelback.

About the older Miraheze wiki's

This might be controversial but i am actually glad these wikis got shut down so this one can start from scratch, there were some pages i wasn't really "pleased" to say the least, mostly notable: Dead to Rights (Crappy Games Wiki), Most of the 2000s cartoon network cartoons seasons such as Dexter's Laboratory revival, The Powerpuff Girls (1998, last two seasons) and more (Terrible TV Shows & Episodes, those are not bad at all actually), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Awful Movies wiki) and more. They went downhill in 2009, because a lot of bad stuff happened in that era. I do think the wikis about good youtubers being here is actually useless as the amazing youtubers wiki is still alive, and some of them such as: AVGN also exist in the said wikis, so i do think that i should delete these, i am just following the rule of not copy pasting stuff, this wiki is a reboot/remake after all, trying to fix all the errors, the wiki pages in the older wiki had.

Misunderstanding with the Rating Templates

• So recently my template for caution had gotten deleted under the false assumption it was an alternative for the Mature template. Let me tell you: It's not, or... wasn't. You think ratings don't exist in-between general audience works and adult works? The template was intended to be used as the "in-between" rating. I was mostly using it on films and other media, with dark content or heavy themes that's too dark or serious for general audiences, but not dark or vulgar enough to be labeled as "mature". I was mostly intending to use it on PG and PG-13 films, and maybe on some TV-14 shows. I had it planned from a while back. You could have just talked on my discussion board and I would have explained.

Regarding the Caution template

Hi, Robin, I'm SuperStreetKombat, a former admin of QP on Miraheze, and yes, I'm the anon responsible for removing that Caution template from the Citizen Kane, and let me explain myself...

Does anybody remove the whole drama regarding the NSFW and NSFL templates on TTSW back on Miraheze where users would unnecessarily add it to pages that didn't need them (most notably the One Coarse Meal page), and every time I removed them, other users would edit war with me and one even sent me a rape threat just for removing them, so I had to delete one of them before it got arbitrarily restored? Well, it's a lot like that on this wiki, and allow me to elaborate: the reason why I think that the Caution template shouldn't even be a thing is because is serves almost the exact same purpose as the Mature template, but Chessguy and SpaceProtagonist says that the former is used for "between ratings" or something like that, which doesn't make sense that if a product doesn't have mature content as disturbing as an adult-themed game, movie, show, or whatever, regardless of it having adult stuff, then it shouldn't have a warning of any kind, because products with ratings below M, R, TV MA, etc. have fairly tame content, even if it may have mature themes.

The same type of drama I mentioned about mature templates has been occuring on this wiki, because like on TTSW, users have been adding the Caution or NSFL templates to pages that never really need them in the first place because of the reasons I've stated above, and I don't want New Qualitipedia to repeat the same mistake as the Old Qualitipedia did, so here's my advice to admins on New QP, including you and CJWorld: if a page doesn't have a product that isn't rated M, R, TV-MA, or whatever, then don't add a warning template of any kind to it, because these pages have relatively tame content, despite being somewhat aimed at adilt audiences, and adding these templates to pages can cause a lot of edit wars, and stuff like.

Multiple accounts created in very little time

Hey Robin, I've checked the recent changes and I noticed something quite weird - multiple accounts were made in little time. They have links on their profiles but I don't know if they're suspicious ones.

Robin, you are a decent editor and I can tell you try. You've done well in a crisis, ie, dealing with spam recently. You were not the one to censor criticism. For these reasons I think you should be given a shot, not as a bureaucrat but either as a moderator if that role comes about, or as an admin, preferably evolving from the first into the second. This can be used to help sharpen your edge and avoid decisions that result in problems. In large part those problems were because you had no guidance or supervision, nobody to discuss with or say no before a choice is made due to CJ's absence and burnout. He wasn't the best fit to 'rule' either, frankly there are no ideal options. This project was a bloody mess when there were over a dozen staff active and for the most part now it's fallen on you alone, that was not fair and with such a limited pool to draw from it's easy to settle for whoever edits and seems interested because that is nearly all you've got to work with. If you are willing to work with me, CJ, and the 1-3 others who will be joining in soon - largely consisting of veteran users and ex QP staff - I won't give up on you. I'm willing to support you getting another shot and some actual backup as you should have had a long time ago. Two things. One, you haven't particularly changed, the standards have. I apologize that it's taken this long to straighten out the ship. Second, frankly based on your action history there isn't much you can't access that you've used substantially. Let me know if there is a basic that's missing. Critically you have the ability to block (so spam should not be a problem) and handle page protection. You also have a bureaucrat active at the moment, me, to address technical suggestions and deal with things at bureaucrat. CJ is still the founder/leader but I have been working directly with Original Authority to work on technical issues. This is for the best as neither of you substantially customized the wiki at ManageWiki level.

Some tools are more restricted because they are sensitive, and no, you are not ideal to make hiring and firing decisions. If you think someone should be added do start a discussion about it. However you can do certain things like set people to confirmed (set as temporary if it's to deal with captcha to help someone edit, or permanent if it's a trusted user who won't reach 10 edits anytime soon). Please ask before setting people to autopatrolled, depending how it goes that right may or may not stay at mod level.
