The Great Battle II Last Fighter Twin (ザ・グレイトバトルII ラストファイターツイン?) is a crossover Action video game developed by Banpresto and published by Namco Bandai for Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992.

Plot

Half a century has passed since SD characters moved to the colony, and SD Nation has continued to develop peacefully and calmly. However, suddenly, the colony's environmental control device begins to go out of control for unknown reasons, and the brutal monsters start rampaging as they please, turning the once peaceful SD Nation into a lawless zone. In order to restore SD Nation to its original state, Gundam F91 , Ultraman Great , Rider RX , and Fighter Roa stand up to find four Gachapon capsules scattered around the world, which are said to make any wish come true if they are collected. With this in mind, I decided to set out on a journey. Will it be possible to restore peace to SD Nation?

However, at that time, the four of them had no way of knowing that Dark Brain, the ruler of fear and murder in Colony Side 3, located at the farthest point from Earth, was also targeting the capsule.

Good Qualities

  1. The graphics, just like the first game, are pretty good and colorful, even for a 1992 SNES game. The graphics are also cute and detailed, even more than in the first game.
    • The Sprites work is also decent; the most notable examples are both Gundam and Ultraman, since they are very detailled, even for a SNES game.
  2. The game is challenging but not really frustrating for the most parts, and the difficulty is well balanced, unlike the first game, where it's too easy for most parts.
  3. The soundtrack is pretty decent, despite some of the music not being as good as the first game or some of them being mediocre. Since they sound really catchy and doesn't really feel repetitive for the most parts.
  4. The controls are tight and responsive, the characters will never be unresponsive at all and will always move when you use the d-pad or any other commands of the controller.
  5. The gameplay is pretty fun for most parts, despite the speed of the game being dull.
  6. The plot is not bad, even for a Great Battle game.
  7. It's sequel, The Great Battle III, is even better.

Bad Qualities

  1. The level 2 is very horrible, as it's way too difficult and it's even the hardest level of the game.
  2. The speed of the game is very dull and is a bit slow, which will make the game boring at times.
    • To make matters worse, the game is so slow that if you only like fast beat em up, then you will have little to no chance to like this game.
  3. Again the game is pretty short, lasting only 1 hour.
  4. The game can be frustrating sometimes, such as the level 2 as said before which is a nightmare to playtrough.

Reception

The game currently has a 3.28 score on Gamefaq, meaning that it got mixed to positive reviews.
