The Secret Life of Blossom Powerpuff is the twenty-ninth episode in the first season of The Powerpuff Girls (2016).

Plot

When Blossom can't join her favorite school club, she imagines what her superhero life would be like if she joined other clubs.

Why It wasn't a Secret

  1. Misleading Title: It's titled "The Secret Life of Blossom Powerpuff", but the episode itself has nothing to do with Blossom's personal perspective. Instead, it's about Blossom trying out new clubs when her favorite club's size exceeds.
  2. Speaking of which, it's probably considered a filler episode of Blossom thinking on what it's like to being in different clubs when her favorite one closes down. The "filler" part is that her thoughts are too long and just serve to fill the episode.
  3. Blossom acts over-exaggerated at the start, as she thinks it's the end of her career just because her favorite club is full.
  4. The songs in Blossom and Princess Morbucks' dance battle are not good and are pretty much lame references to the pop culture ones such as "Y.M.C.A." and "Thriller". Not to mention, stock images are used for some of the songs. Sound familiar?
  5. Lame running gag where a random giant robot destroys everything at the near end of Blossom's fantasies and Buttercup getting crushed by the robots.
  6. Like most episodes, the girls never do any crime-fighting here, due to it being centered on Blossom's thoughts on joining clubs.

Secret Qualities

  1. Buttercup and Bubbles are somewhat tolerable characters.
  2. The ending was alright with Blossom joining the Sci-fi Writers Club.

Reception

It holds a rating of 3.8/10 on IMDB.
