"The Tiny Tyrant (Zig & Sharko)"
Seriously, why making an episode with a good concept if it's to ruin it with so much pointless violences and the strong character being horribly unlikable.
Series: Zig & Sharko
Part of Season: 1
Episode Number: 55
Air Date: November 11, 2016 (Youtube)
Previous episode: "Super Zig"
Next episode: "Coral Reef Cowboys"

"The Tiny Tyrant" (French: "Le Mini Maître") is the fifty-fifth episode from season one of Zig & Sharko. It was written by Olivier Jean-Marie and storyboarded by Frédéric Mintoff.

Plot

"Bernie concocts a magic potion to make you incredibly strong… but keeps it for himself. He wields his new power over Zig, over Sharko, even over Neptune. In short: he’s the STRONGEST of them all! Is there any way to get him step off the throne?"

Why It's Never Become A Tyrant

  1. The main problem of this episode is that it had way too much unnecessary violences that are shockingly more disturbing than funny, in which it is unnaceptable for Zig & Sharko standards since the show is know for using violences but in a funny way.
    • Not to mention that it is one of the few episode of the whole series to never having any funny moments, and when it try to be funny, it fail miserably, to the point of being more annoying than funny and thus make this episode completely unfunny.
      • Even some of the season 2 episodes or even those of the season 4 had this kind of violences but those execute it much better than this episode, even in season 4.
        • That mostly because while it had violent moments, they know how to balance both violences and funny moments and it work well, even the previous season 1 episodes had this kind of violences that once again is funny because it is executed well, exemple are when Sharko beat up Zig in creative or funny ways.
  2. It is a horrible torture episode for Zig and Sharko as well as Marina because of what Bernie done (see the next pointers).
  3. Bernie is extremely unlikable in this episode and is mean spirited to nearly everyone just because he stronger, even to his best friend Zig, in fact he is at his absolute worst in this episode and make you wish that he got beaten up by the other peoples that got injured because of his craps.
    • Even worse, in this episode he is selfish and keep the potion for himself and doesn't want to give it to Zig, which is weird since in most episodes he is his sidekick for doing inventions so Zig can eat Marina.
      • In fact, because of this, Zig mostly focus on trying to beat Bernie down rather than eating Marina, in which it is one of the only episode of season 1 where Zig don't try to eat Marina, though that make a few changes.
    • He blackmail litterally everyone to doing his favors such as making status of him and serving him his foods, and if they don't do it then he warn about beat them up, which is abuse and in real life if you get caught, then you might deal a serious amount of problems with the polices.
    • And worst of all, he even had the guts to having Marina emprisoned in jail for absolutely no reasons whatsoever.
  4. The stronger Bernie design is really mediocre because it look incredibly uncanny and feel like that it's just big legs and fists rather than a crabe, they could have just make him look slighly stronger and making him a bit bigger and it would look better than what we got here.
  5. Bad Moral: Get stronger so you can become selfish and if someone still incist for that you do something you don't want, then beat the person that want you to do this thing so that you don't do it.
  6. Speaking of the bad moral, this episode even encourage violences toward peoples if they do annoy you, and while annoying peoples aren't good, beating up those peoples is not the solution and you can just talk to them to stop annoying you or at getting to another place where there's not any annoying peoples.
  7. The fight scene beetween Bernie and Zig is nothing more than boring in your point of view, since not only does Bernie somehow want to beat up his best friend Zig for no reasons when it was him who caused those mischiefs, and the fact that it is almost a filler (at least the beginning of the scene).
    • Not to mention that it somehow became one of the worst fight scene of the entire show, to the point of being comparable to some of the worst fight scene of Family Guy and the Street Fighter tv show, due to not being that fun to watch and you doesn't even see both Zig or Bernie punching the other and instead just throw objects towards themself, which isn't bad if it's for the fact that they could have made the fight way better with more than that, until Sharko came and beat those two.
      • Though fortunately, "The Were-Yena" would later do the same concept of this episode but with Zig and having a way better execution than this episode, with better fight scene with both Zig and Sharko.
  8. Horrible Ending: While for Bernie it is justified, the fact that Marina also beat up Zig when she got stronger is somewhat weird considering that he didn't do anything wrong or that he didn't even tried to eat her this time. Marina reprimanding Sharko is somewhat inexcusable due to him fighting against Zig and Bernie in King Neptune's house. At the same time, Neptune house is destroyed and this cause him to crying.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. The other main characters (Zig, Sharko, Neptune and Marina) are likable and we can easily feel sorry for them, especially because they suffered because of Bernie horrible actions.
  2. The concept of the episode was great, but unfortunately it was horribly executed due to how much pointless violences it had and the fact that Bernie is very unlikable.
  3. Zig plan to out smart Bernie was a success, since he could finally fight Bernie to see if he can beat him up when he got the potion.
