Truth, Justice, and What?! is the 36th episode of the 2nd season of Teen Titans Go!.

Synopsis

Pizza is the source of the Titans' goofy humor.

Why It's False and Unjustified

  1. This episode has several glaring problems: It makes fun of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Greg Cipes’ acting career (the episode got him a lawsuit, details will explained below), it also can be considered as a hater episode as it seems to respond to the common complaints from the haters that claim that the Titans eat too much pizza and junk food, and the infamous mutation scene that terrified many viewers.
  2. This episode is also possibly made to insult the haters by treating pizza like crack and ecstasy in the episode as whenever the Titans eat pizza in this episode, they literally go insane, they do things that clearly noncoherent such as stripping down to their underwear, doing crazy dances, and jumping everywhere. They behave like they are on drugs. This also contradicts the series as a whole because previous episodes shows the Titans eating pizza without any side effects. However, this likely was done to insult the haters.
  3. Robin then bans pizza and the Titans say that that’s why they formed the team in the first place, only for a cutaway gag to follow where Robin is shown holding auditions, he’s disappointed other superheroes never showed up. Only for a mysterious hand and voice to come up write pizza on Robin’s sign. The cutaway gag ends with Cyborg saying the voice stole his catchphrase. This is insulting and the voice and hand will later on be revealed to be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves.
    • Furthermore, not only does offend Ninja Turtles, fans, and general pizza lovers.
  4. After the cutaway gag, it gets annoying because Beast Boy doesn’t know what “ban” means, yes, he’s really THAT stupid here. And he begins guessing words that rhyme with ban like van and band, followed by Starfire and Raven trying to tell him the word. This joke is not funny and seems to be here to pad out the runtime. It’s also a chore to sit through.
  5. Afterwards, a “week later” time card comes up and the infamous scene happens. The Titans are angry with Robin that they can’t have pizza and they decide to move in with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so they can have all the pizza they want. Robin thinks they won’t be accepted because they’re not mutated like them, the Titans say they thought of that and drink test tubes of “toxic ooze”. This is then followed by a grotesque transformation scene where the Titans become green monsters. It’s very terrifying and it scared many fans. It also landed itself a section on the TVTropes Nightmare Fuel section of Teen Titans Go!.
  6. After this, the Titans go to the hospital and Robin lifts the pizza ban, only for them to discover that all of the pizza's are gone. How is this possible?
  7. The next scene reveals that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stole all the pizza's in the world, which is impossible because pizza's in pizza's shops are made, it would make better sense if they stole all the ingredients to make the pizza's. They do this to get revenge on the Titans because they leave “no pizza for [them]” which is also impossible because how could the Titans eat out a whole pizza shop?!
  8. Bad Ending: The Titans steals the Turtles clothing and eat pizza and they get no consequences for their actions.
  9. This episode also caused a lawsuit with Greg Cipes because according to Teen Titans Go! Wikia, after the episode aired, Nickelodeon angrily calls him threatening to sue to him but he only responds to sue Sam Register because he’s just the voice actor. Thankfully, Register didn’t get sued.

The Only Redeeming Quality

  1. The crab dancing is admittedly funny.
