Universal Pictures (legally Universal City Studios LLC, also known as Universal Studios, and formerly named Universal Film Manufacturing Company and Universal-International Pictures Inc.) is an American film studio owned by Comcast through the NBCUniversal Film and Entertainment division of its wholly owned subsidiary NBCUniversal. It was one of the world's very first major movie studios, as well as the very first major all-American movie studio. Woody Woodpecker serves as the company's official mascot.

Plus, two iconic characters from DreamWorks Animation, Shrek, and Little Audrey.
- It was the second major film studio to set up its theme park chain, after Disney successfully.
- It is one of the most successful studios along with Disney, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures and Paramount.
- The current theme music (Played by Jerry Goldsmith from the 1997-2012 logo and currently by Brian Tyler since 2012) that comes from the logo is well played and can be recognized, while the theme from the 1990-1997 logo (played by James Horner), while not that recognizable to the 1997 theme but other than that, it is beautifully played.

- Some of their films, even if some of them received a positive or negative reception, were box office flops.
- They are often VERY aggressive with their marketing campaigns for their bigger movies, the most important being Despicable Me and Jurassic World.
- They have completely destroyed the Jaws franchise. Due to the first Jaws movie being very successful, Universal themselves milked it into oblivion to the point where the last two movies (the ones mentioned above on BQ#1) are considered to be some of the worst movies of all time.
- During the 1990s, 2000s, and late 2010s, they made tons of cheap and terribly executed sequels to The Land Before Time.
- Just like 20th Century Fox, they have a bad habit of keeping franchises around longer than they should. And only expand them more just for the sake of making money. Like Jurassic Park/World, Despicable Me, Fast and Furious, Jaws, and some DreamWorks franchises like Trolls and The Boss Baby.
