A prime example of how the way some companies choose to tackle certain ideologies is not as sweet as it sounds.

Sweet Baby Inc. is a Canadian narrative development and consultation studio based in Montreal. Founded by former Ubisoft developers, including scriptwriter Kim Belair and product manager David Bédard, the company consults on video game narratives during development to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within game narratives and studios. Sweet Baby has consulted with several developers and games, including Sable, God of War Ragnarök, and Alan Wake II. In 2023, the studio became the target of online users who claimed it promoted a "woke agenda".

⚠ | No redeeming qualities are allowed as this studio is controversial for things like disrespecting the dead, doxing and racism. |
- The biggest problem with the company is its hypocrisy. Even though they state that they're a progressive company making empathetic stories including diversity, and other things, most of the tweets from the company pretty much go against their concept of inclusiveness.
- Despite promoting equality and diversity, they're ironically discriminatory towards straight white men, with one of the employees once making the infamous tweet about how they had a "nightmare" that they were a straight white male, effectively making their move of promoting equality completely hypocritical.
- True progressive would also include Caucasian male
- Another major red flag is the fact that certain employees that were initially well-known for GamerGate (in opposition of it) are now working for the company. For example, the same person who made the racist tweet about straight white men, Felix Kramer, a.k.a. legobutts, at the time notorious with conspiring with Zoë Quinn to sabotage The Fine Young Capitalists, as well doxing the head member of the game jam, is now employed at the company.
- They're willing to go as far as disrespecting the dead. For example, 7 days after the late Akira Toriyama passed away from an acute subdural hematoma at the age of 68 on March 1, 2024, Chris Kindred tweeted by saying that "Toriyama gave us the best and worst black characters in anime in the same series", which is disrespecting to both his legacy and his death and downright racist!
- They claim to be harassed by their critics. When they attempted to induce harassment against the Sweet Baby Inc-detected, an anti-political Steam group run by KABRUTUS, that boycotts their games due to their hypocrisy, they attempted to encourage mass reporting (which is indeed harassment), making them completely hypocritical.
- They believe that to make better stories, they should include diversity and inclusion in every game, which is false.
- They tend to make female characters look masculine, even existing characters in remakes, which is insulting, considering they didn't need any change to begin with. The most notable examples are in the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake and unknown Project Zero games. This is sexist toward female showing that not only they are misandrist, but also misogynic.
- Just like any other political company, they cannot go a single millisecond without lashing out at any form of criticism.
- At the 2024 Black Girl Gamers Online Summit, Kim Belair stated that critics are "part of the greater movement right towards a lot of very far right thinking".
- Overall, they gave Diversity, Equity and Inclusion or DEI employees in the game industry a bad name.
