About IGN
Hey, Street, I saw that you removed IGN from the reviews. While I understand your decision, I suggest you to put it back, because this is actually a great take. It's the first time in 10 years that a game received a 1/10 from the studio, and rightfully so. So, it's better bringing it back. I don't want to cause edit wars, that's why I'm asking instead of undoing your edit directly CJWorldGame32125 (talk) 21:31, February 11, 2024 (UTC)
- But IGN has been considered unreliable by most QP users, and adding them as sources for any pages contradicts their additions to the blacklist on the reliability meter. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 22:04, February 11, 2024 (UTC)
- I know. I think we should clairfy in the Source Reliability-O-Meter that if the blacklisted people actually make an actually good take that everybody agrees, then they're allowed to be added CJWorldGame32125 (talk) 22:05, February 11, 2024 (UTC)
- But then we'd have to remove them from the blacklist. What's the point of said blacklist if they're just gonna be called reliable, anyway? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 22:08, February 11, 2024 (UTC)
- What I mean is that their reviews will not be added regardless of positive feedback unless they're actually rare good takes like The Day Before and the Baldur's Gate 3 situation CJWorldGame32125 (talk) 22:18, February 11, 2024 (UTC)
- That's just another issue that New Qualitipedia is repeating that the old QP had: using unreliable sources as sources, despite the reliability meter. Who cares if those sources had a few good takes? They still have a bad rep from the public, and adding them as sources makes us look hypocritical because they're already blacklisted from reliability meter.
- If we're going by this logic of adding them when they have honest takes, then we might as well just remove them from the blacklist or just delete the blacklist entirely and literally add anynody, regardless of their credibiloty, as sources to every single page.
- I might have to make a topic about this on the reliability page's discussion tab momentarily. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 22:28, February 11, 2024 (UTC)
