Not exactly the worst award show of all time, but it can be pretty lackluster at worst.

Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards is an awards show that was started by Nickelodeon back in March 28, 1987. It was mostly good back in the 1980s to 2000s, but overtime for the decade, it got downhill for various reasons.
Qualities That NEVER Award A Favorite NQP Article
- Back when the awards show started, it was positively received by many fans, but overtime, it started to receive bad reception for being rigged, biased, and mostly repetitive with the winners.
- There are some usually terrible media that won the Nickelodeon Choice Awards, such as:
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman for favorite game, despite it being received negatively for having the game-breaking bug on the PlayStation 2 version and was mostly unfinished. (Kids Choice Awards 2003)
- Alvin and the Chipmunks for favorite movie. (Kids Choice Awards 2008)
- Twilight for favorite book. (Kids Choice Awards 2009)
- Not only that, even the movie actress Kristen Stewart and actor Taylor Lautner even won an award for Cutest Couple for The Twilight Saga: A New Moon, despite the movie being received negatively. (Kids Choice Awards 2010)
- Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel for favorite movie. (Kids Choice Awards 2010)
- Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked for favorite movie. (Kids Choice Awards 2012)
- Justin Bieber for Favorite Male Artist, despite most of his songs being terrible. (Kids Choice Awards 2012, 2013, 2016, 2021)
- Justin Bieber's Baby for favorite song, despite it being called the worst song by many viewers. (Kids Choice Awards 2011)
- Sam & Cat for Favorite TV Show. (Kids Choice Awards 2014)
- The Thundermans for favorite TV Show, despite it receiving mixed to negative reception. (Kids Choice Awards 2016)
- Ghostbusters (2016) for favorite movie, despite it ruining the original movie and being filled with wokeness. (Kids Choice Awards 2017)
- Wonder Woman 1984 for favorite movie. (Kids Choice Awards 2021)
- The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder for favorite kids TV series. (Kids Choice Awards 2023)
- Also most of the media that won the Nickelodeon Choice Awards, won multiple times which gets repetitive such as these:
- SpongeBob SquarePants for favorite cartoon (Kids Choice Awards 2003-present), except 2008 because Avatar: The Last Airbender won instead. Despite seasons 6-9a being bad. Though the show got great again in season 9B. This has to be the most annoying thing about the modern KCA since there's other animated shows the should've won like The Fairly OddParents, Phineas and Ferb, Adventure Time, Ninjago, The Loud House, and others.
- The Just Dance Video Game series (Kids Choice Awards 2011-2014, 2016-2019), except in 2015 and 2020-2022 because Minecraft won instead.
- America's Got Talent series.
- Hypocrisy: Although the Kids' Choice Awards are mostly aimed towards children alike, they have picked some unconvincing choices for certain media that can suggest otherwise such as:
- The Simpsons for the favorite cartoon in 2003 and is nominated frequently, although the show is mostly geared toward adults.
- Hell's Kitchen was actually nominated in the 2016 ceremony, despite being also oriented towards adults.
- Some PG-13 movies that feature mature content such as The Twilight Saga, and The Hunger Games also appeared, despite the fact that the Kids Choice Awards were mostly directed at children.
- Cardi B was nominated for Favorite Female Artist in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023, even though her songs are geared towards adults, and the general quality of her music being mediocre at best.
- Marvel and DC Movies are nominated and won often, although there is quite a bit of violence and profanity in those movies, even if they are aimed at kids.
- Dhar Mann was nominated in the Kids Choice Awards 2024 for "Favorite Male Creator", despite the fact his content decreased quality after 2021, made inappropriate content while claiming to be family-friendly, treated his actors terribly, and featured controversial creators. Also he is now currently using his nomination to scam kids into joining his fake giveaways so he can get easy votes.[1]
- Animation errors can be spotted in the Kids Choice Awards 2022, in which the Roblox animation segments have characters' limbs clip through their body.
- Originally back in the day, there were around 3-4 hosts that host the show, but now it has mostly 1-2 hosts, likely due to budget issues or something.
- As warrented from a ceremony hosted by Nickelodeon, many of them try way too hard be hip and cool with the kids at times by using dead trends ever since 2013.
- It can sometimes get REALLY loud. Yes, seriously. It does not help that much of the audience is children.
- The CGI in the 2024 awards ranges from mediocre to downright terrible.
- The Brazilian Portuguese voiceover of 2024 KCA is awful.
