Power Rangers Dino Super Charge is the 23rd season of Power Rangers, and the second season of Power Rangers Dino Charge. The series is based on Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

Why This Super Season Should Go Extinct

  1. Some of the Dino Charge characters are flanderized in this season.
    • Tyler was a cool, kind, and likable Red Ranger in the first half of Dino Charge in the first season, but he became an immature and reckless idiot, an unlikable Red Ranger, and one of the most annoying characters since the "World Famous! (In New Zealand)" episode of Dino Charge. Even Wes Collins (Time Force Red Ranger) from Time Force is way more likable than him and even his (Daigo Kiryu) Japanese counterpart is way likeable than him.
      • Granted he did have these moments previously, but even those don't take it that far.
    • Riley was a smart and mature Green Ranger in the first season of the show, but in the second season, he is immature and only cares about winning, as shown in episodes 2 and 7). Even Sakura Nishihori/Bouken Pink from Boukenger and Takeru/Shinken Red from Shinkenger are both ways more mature than him.
    • Koda goes from a strong caveman Blue Ranger to a silly comic relief, but at least Super Ninja Steel fixes his character when he returns for the 25th Anniversary Episode (Dimensions in Danger) and The Super Ninja Steel Christmas Special (The Poisy Show).
      • Granted Koda was the show's comic relief before this had occurred, however it NEVER bugged him down as a complete moron.
    • Fury became a huge jerk to Singe and Poisandra and an even worse version of Ecliptor.
    • Ivan went from an awesome knight to an extremely talkative, irritating, and basically a rip-off of Utsusemimaru "Utchy"/Kyoryu Gold from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.
    • Wrench and Poisandra became more annoying than they are in the Previous Season.
    • Sledge has now become a worse version of Lothor when he returned in episode 17, especially in "The Poisy Show" episode from Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, in which he runs away from a t-rex, even though he should know what they are by now.
  2. Tons of fillers and plot-holes.
  3. Most of the villains are unthreatening, useless, pointless and laughable.
  4. Hammy dialogue.
  5. Weak comedy.
  6. It lacks the charm that the 1st half of Dino Charge (the previous season) seemed to have.
  7. Lord Arcanon (who is the real main villain of the show) only appears in 5 episodes.
  8. Like the previous Neo-Saban Seasons, this Season tries hard to be darker and edgier but ended up being light-hearted, and Even In Space, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, and RPM had even waaaay a little bit of amount of light-hearted moments.
  9. The finale of Dino Super Charge "End of Extinction" was the worst finale in the entire franchise, with only Super Megaforce's finale beating it out, and Even Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Operation Overdrive and RPM had waaaay better and amazing Finales.
  10. Some episodes are poorly writing and are very dumb, one such example being the eighth episode Riches and Rags. Not only is that episode one of the worst in the show, but the plot in that episode is very idiotic. When, where, and how did the plot about five teenagers who ride giant robotic dinosaurs that can combine to form a giant robot to save the whole world from evil alien entities get to turn into characters going bankrupt and trying to get money to not lose their museum???
  11. This season is not aired on Indosiar, because Indosiar ended its Sunday morning blocks at 2017. This is ridiculous, because in international airings, Dino Super Charge is aired there.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Some likable characters like Snide, Heckyl, Zenowing.
  2. Chase, Shelby, and Kendall are some of the characters who never suffered flanderization.
  3. The moment where Tyler and Shelby sing together is a very cute and touching moment.
  4. Heckyl (who serves as the main villain for the first half of the show before being taken over by Lord Arcanon and reform) is a well thought out villain who gains quite a development, going from a sinister psychopathy intro a more mature villain who later one wants to help the Power Rangers.
  5. While appeared in 5 episodes, Lord Arcanon was a super intimidating villain.
  6. Fans of both seasons of Dino Charge might still enjoy watching it.

Reception

While Power Rangers Dino Charge has received very favorable and positive reviews from Critics and Fans alike, its second season, on the other hand, received rather negative reviews.
