"Sandy's Country Christmas" is an episode from season 14 of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Plot

When one of Sandy's experiments goes awry, the Cheeks family team up to save Christmas in Bikini Bottom.

Why It's a F.U.N. Country Christmas

  1. This episode brings back the stop motion animation from "It's a SpongeBob Christmas" and "The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom" and even improves it like what The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom did, but this time added the sweet of "Ian Vazquez" flavored to make the face expressions more expensive.
  2. Great music, as usual.
  3. The concept on a Christmas special about Sandy and her family saving Christmas is decent but however, this episode executes this concept greatly.
  4. This is also a massive improvement over the extremely infamous Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie. What makes it even better is that it also improves "SpongeBob's Road to Christmas."
  5. It uses content from the movie really well, just like Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.
  6. Great moral: Never miss the day for Christmas and always stand up for yourself.
  7. This episode can be funny at times like when Randy sees a police submarine despite being filler.
  8. Sandy's family is so much better than in the movie as they get character development in the episode along with Sandy and SpongeBob despite accidently making Santa fall down,
  9. They even save Christmas with Sandy and SpongeBob by delivering presents to every Bikini Bottom house.
  10. Granny Cheeks' story on how they had a year without Santa is creative and hilarious.
  11. Catchy songs like the Country Carol one.
  12. French Narrator's appearance is really cool.
  13. The poster is a huge improvement over Kreepaway Kamp's one despite the false advertising.
  14. Great ending: Everyone got their presents as Santa is now in his normal state and the Cheeks family got Sandy's giant Christmas tree as a present.

Naughty List Qualities

  1. Patchy the Pirate does not make an appearance in this episode, as the French Narrator appears instead despite the French Narrator being an iconic character.
  2. A few scenes can be filler like when Randy spots a police submarine, despite being funny.
  3. False advertising: On the episode's promotional images and promos, the episode was titled "SpongeBob & Sandy's Country Christmas" despite only being called "Sandy's Country Christmas" on DVD and TV airings, unlike Snow Yellow and the Seven Jellies.
  4. Santa was a bit dumbed down in this episode as he didn't realize that he was being bumped in a Christmas tree, causing him to lose his state and memory.

Reception

This episode received positive-mixed reviews and an 8.0 on IMDb. However, it is considered the weakest of the three stop-motion specials that the series offers.
