Why bother making your own original assets when you can buy pre-made ones and try to write them off as your own? These games are notable for their extensive use of pre-made assets bought from places like the Unity Asset Store and (obviously) being unfathomably lazy and terrible. And yes, beware of Jim Sterling if you're a perpetrator of this practice.
