While the Golden Age of American Animation is known to have churned out some of the best cartoon series in movie theaters such as Mickey Mouse, Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry for examples between the 1930s-1960s, however there are either just some really bad classic theatrical cartoon series produced by lesser-known competitors such as Terrytoons or Famous Studios, or really good classic theatrical cartoons from animation studios like Warner Bros. and MGM that underwent seasonal rot during their final theatrical years in the 1960s as the result of either budget cuts, the departure of it's original creators (but in a BAD way), or both, due to the declining audience interest of watching theatrical cartoons in movie theaters at the time.

There were also some cartoons made for television during the 1940's-1960's during said era, however, not all of them had the same positive feedback as Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes. In addition, here are also some bad episodes from good classic theatrical cartoon series such as Tom and Jerry, Popeye and Looney Tunes.
